FAQs about Trillium's Postdoctoral Program
- How long is a typical postdoctoral fellowship at Trillium?
Each fellow will be brought on for an initial 1-year term, with the possibility to extend for an additional one to two years based on project needs.
- What types of projects can I expect to work on during my time at Trillium?
Postdoctoral projects will generally fall within the cutting edge of immunology/oncology research, with the aim to elucidate disease biology or the mechanism of action of a novel drug candidate or target. Fellows will be exposed to a wide variety of techniques including both molecular and cellular biology, protein chemistry, in vivo animal models and in vitro cell-based functional assays. Individuals will be expected to work independently but as part of cross-functional teams made up of scientists and research associates.
- Upon completion of the program, can I expect to gain employment with Trillium?
Postdoctoral fellows are welcome to apply for open positions at the end of their term; however there is no guarantee that relevant positions will be available.
- What type of salary can I expect if I am accepted into the program?
Trillium offers an industry competitive salary for those selected for the postdoctoral program.
